Coupe de France in St Raphael: Sabrina Enaux fährt aufs Podium!

Der heimische Boden beflügelt die kleine Französin in Diensten des FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Teams. Sabrina Enaux erkämpft sich bei der ersten Etappe des Coupe the France in St Raphael am 3. April Platz 3 und ergattert damit ihren ersten Podestplatz der Saison. Damit reiht sie sich nahtlos in die Erfolgsgeschichte des FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Teams in der Saison 2011 ein und sammelt 30 wichtige Punkte für das UCI Team Ranking.

 

EDICT erste Wahl

Auf dem hoch-technischen Kurs in Südfrankreich war das FELT EDICT die erste Wahl der Französin, die am ersten Trainingstag mehrer Bikes aus dem FELT Fuhrpark unter Rennbedingungen testete. Die Wahl hat sich bezahlt gemacht: Platz 3 ist das beste Saisonergebnis von Enaux bisher, doch klar ist auch, dass es bestimmt nicht der letzte Podestplatz bleiben wird.

 

Starkes Finish mit Podiumsplatz belohnt

Enaux war von Beginn des Rennens in der Spitzengruppe dabei. Nach der ersten Runde lag sie hinter ihrer Landsfrau Julie Bresset auf Rang zwei, verlor allerdings im Mittelteil des Rennens einige Plätze. Doch das sollte nicht das letzte Wort von Enaux gewesen sein. Mit viel Power startete sie in der Schlussphase den Angriff auf die Führenden und machte Platz um Platz gut: Wäre das Rennen noch etwas länger gewesen, wäre für Enaux sicher noch mehr drin gewesen.

It looks like the home soil advantage quickens Sabrina Enaux from the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team. She fought her way to the podium in the first round of the French Cup 2011 in St Raphael and steps up on the podium for the first time this season. With her 3rd place in St Raphael, she reinforced the dominance of the whole team and gained 30  important UCI points for the Team Ranking.

Sabrina tested several of her FELT Bikes on the highly technical course in the South of France. In the first training session, the decision which bike to take was clear. And it was a good choice: The Edict worked perfectly, leading her to the best result of the young season. But it’s obvious: Enaux wants more than a third rank in France and St Raphael won’t be the last good news we hear from her.

 

Strong finish secures 3rd rank
From the beginning of the race, Enaux was on the leading group. After the first round, Enaux was only a few meters behind her leading compatriot Julie Bresset, but however lost place by place in the middle of the race. But that was not the Sabrina we know and yes, she came back strong. With a great finish, she moved back to the top, finishing third in the end. If there would have been one more round to go, her great finish might have been rewarded with much more.
