Team FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC beim Sympatex BIKE Festival in Willingen

Mit rund 30.000 Besuchern gehört das Sympatex Bike Festival in Willingen zu den größten Veranstaltungen seiner Art. Für den Rocky Mountain Bike Marathon haben mit Anna und Jörg Scheiderbauer, Vladi Riha und Carolin Schiff gleich vier Athleten des FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Teams gemeldet. Außerdem wird Natascha Binder, die Anfang Juni Platz sieben bei der Trans Germany belegt hat, die Fahnen des Teams hoch halten.  

Neue Strecke, altbewährtes Konzept
Nach dem Erfolg im Jahr 2009 werden auch im Jahr 2010 wieder drei Runden angeboten. Alle Runden gehen am Festival-Gelände vorbei und eröffnen die Möglichkeit, der freien Streckenwahl. Nach jeder Runde können sich die Teilnehmer entscheiden, ob sie weiterfahren oder lieber das Rennen beenden wollen. Die Strecke hingegen wurde im Vergleich zum Vorjahr in einigen Sektionen geändert, um den technisch anspruchsvollen Kurs noch attraktiver zu gestalten.

Scheiderbauers mit großen Zielen
Nachdem Anna und Jörg Scheiderbauer am vergangenen Wochenende noch im Triathlon erfolgreich waren, haben sich die Botschafter des FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Teams auch für den Mountainbike Marathon in Willingen einiges vorgenommen: „Anna ist momentan in einer bestechenden Form. Ich glaube, dass sie in Willingen um den Sieg mitfahren wird. Ich persönlich will natürlich auch ganz vorne landen und wenn möglich aufs Treppchen steigen“, so Jörg Scheiderbauer über die Erfolgsaussichten am Wochenende.

Belastungsprobe für Riha   
Auf der Straße hat Vladi Riha seinen ersten Saisonsieg bereits einfahren können. Das Mountainbiken hat ihm, gerade über längere Distanzen, zuletzt noch Schmerzen bereitet. In Willingen wird Riha dennoch einen Versuch starten. Seine Partnerin Carolin Schiff ist in Willingen sicher eine Kandidatin für eine Platzierung in der Spitzengruppe.

Binder in Topform
Natascha Binder, die für das FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team fährt, kommt in Topform nach Willingen. Mit einem hervorragenden 7. Platz im Gepäck kehrte die 40-jährige Düsseldorferin von der Trans Germany zurück. Auch für Willingen hat sie sich einiges vorgenommen: „Ich habe mich selten besser gefühlt als derzeit, die Strapazen der Trans Germany habe ich gut weggesteckt. Jetzt kann ich wieder angreifen“, so die promovierte Biochemikerin selbstbewusst.

FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team at Sympatex Bike Festival in Willingen

With about 30,000 visitors the Sympatex Bike Festival in Willingen is one of the largest events of its kind. With Anna and Jörg Scheiderbauer, Vladi Riha and Carolin Schiff, four athletes of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team will take part in the Rocky Mountain Bike Marathon. In addition, Natasha Binder, who has just finished the Trans Germany on 7th place, will start at Münsingen.  

New course, proven concept
After the success in 2009, three rounds will also be offered in 2010. All rounds pass the festival site and open up the possibility of free distance choice. After each round, participants can decide whether to continue or to quit the race. The route, however, was changed from the previous year in some sections to make the technically demanding course even more attractive.

Scheiderbauers with high ambitions
After a successful triathlon last weekend, Anna and Jörg Scheiderbauer, the ambassadors of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team, now will start at the Mountain Bike Marathon in Willingen: "Anna is currently in a compelling shape. I think she is able to win in Willingen. For myself, I will try to get on the podium", said Jörg Scheiderbauer.

Test for Riha
On the road, Vladi Riha has already landed his first victory of the season. On the mountain bike, especially on long distances, Riha had still problems and pain with his neck. Now, Riha wants to test, if the problems are gone. His partner Carolin Schiff is certainly a candidate for a position in the top group.

Binder in good shape
Natasha Binder, who rides for the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team, is currently in top shape. With an outstanding 7th place, the 40-year-old Binder returned from Trans Germany last week. Also for Willingen she has big plans: "I have seldom felt better than at present, the stresses and strains of last week are gone. Now I can attack again", said the biochemist.

Of course, the Team FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC is also represented on the huge EXPO area at Willingen. The athletes inform about the team equipment and the exclusive benefits of a free team membership, such as technique training, grid drawing, performance diagnostics and seat position analysis.
