Will French rider Julien Absalon take his fifth victory in a row? Legend or almost guy?

Julien Absalon already has won more World Cups than everybody else and for sure, we all remember his big win at the Olympic Games in Beijing some years ago.

The former World Champion is the most popular rider in Offenburg for one clear reason: Ever since the World Cup is based in Offenburg, it was Absalon who won the mens elite race.

 

Remember 2010: With Nino Schurter crashing his bike in the middle of the race, Absalon gained a lead of nearly 30 Seconds. Schurter could not reach back to Absalon and the French celebrated his fourth consecutive win!

 

What will be 2011?

If Julien Absalon really could beat the worlds best riders once again on the course in Offenburg, he definitly deserves a monument in the center of the city.

If not ... Absalon hat to deal with the fact that he passed up a golden opprtunity.
