Legendary: Absalons fifth strike in Offenburg, Bresset makes French day perfect
After 1:46:21 h the fairy tail became true at the UCI MTB Word Cup in Offenburg. French rider and two time Olympic winner Absalon added another unique title to his career. For the fifth time in a row, the French rider wins the World Cup race in Offenburg, leaving the Czech Jaroslav Kulhavy (1:46:50) and the French Maxime Marotte (1:47:02) behind. Until the third round, the race was close. A group of ten riders rode together through the drops of Offenburg, and a massive crowd of thousands of spectators cheered loudly for each of them. Absalon, staying behind the leading Fontana and Kulhavy, waited for the right moment for his attack!
In the fourth round, at the uphill section, Absalon metaphorically took the gloves off and left the whole group behind, riding to his fifth consecutive title in Offenburg.
