WORLD CHAMPION! Litscher claims Gold!

 Swiss U23 rider Thomas Litscher is on the top! The rocket man from the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Team claims the gold medal at the world Championships in Champéry in the U23 category! After silver last year, Litscher is the new world champion 2011!

 

The gold fever was written in Litschers face before the start! Nervously, he took some time for himself before the race. Everybody knew that this day will be the most important day of his young career! The excitement in the team tent and thousands of spectators at the course – Litscher transformed the pressure into a stunning golden ride like a true champion, who now proudly wears the rainbow colours as a symbol of his great achievement!

 

“World Champion. That is the most amazing feeling ever! I gave everything and it went perfectly today! I worked so hard to make this dream come true – for myself, my family and my team , that always believed I can do that”, said the new world champion visibly moved after the finish line.

 

Start … Finish … Victory!

From the beginning, Litscher took the lead and distanced all rivals with every meter he rode! After the second lap, he already was more that 30 seconds ahead!

The expected duel between Litscher and Italian Kerschbaumer was decided early! The FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC rider did not leave a chance to his biggest rival. Litscher, who took the opportunity to race the World Cup Elite series this year, totally dominated the U23 World Cup overall winner Kerschbaumer, who did not even claim a medal in the end. Runner up Marek Konwa had a strong finish but all that was left for him was the silver medal. Bronze went to Moorlag from the Netherlands.

 

Technically perfect, in best shape and with the material of a world champion – Thomas Litscher has earned that title more than anybody else and claims it in 1:32:30 with 1:42 ahead of runner up Konwa.

 

FELT presents new World championship frame

There is a lot to celebrate now and the first presents already were handed over. With the gold medal, Litscher got his brand new FELT EDICT frame from his partner FELT as a surprise – for sure that a special rainbow paint is all over his new frame!
