Offenburg establishes itself in the Mountain Bike world

World Cycling Federation announces the 2010 World Cup calendar - New host city New York takes the place of Madrid

The World Cycling Federation UCI has announced the World Cup calendar for 2010. The interest in the mountain bike sport continues to increase with a record 21 cities bidding for 2010. Countries like China and Argentina were amoungst the applicants hoping to be awarded the world cup status. The organiser from scheiderbauer.com sports has again sucured the world cup in Offenburg. Three new cities will join the world cup calendar including New York (USA), Val di Sole (Italy) and Dalby Forest (GBR), with experienced host citie Madrid having to stand down in 2010.

Offenburg again put on a show living up to it´s award winning status. In 2008 Offenburg was awarded the best cross country world cup in the world. The sports marketing agency scheiderbauer.com sports has sucured the rights to promote the german world cup up to the olympics in 2012. "I think we have a great chance to organise a world championships in cross country here in Offenburg within the next six years", commented the event manager Jörg Scheiderbauer. „It´s going to be a lot of hard work however it is very realistic!".
