The third Mountain Bike World Cup in Offenburg-Rammersweier – better than ever!

The 2009 Mountain Bike World Cup is now a memory of the past. Again it was overall a fantastic event for spectators, riders, sponsors and the region. Perfect sommer weather treated all to a spectacular mountain bike festival.

The goal for the organisers is to benefit from the experience to organise a World Championships in the Olympic Cross Country discipline. The first discussions with the UCI have taken place. This is something that has to be planned in advance, a time frame from 5 years has been set. It is very important for the future of mountain biking in germany, to have such a prestige race, especially for the younger enthusiastic riders.

 

The organisation would like to thank all volunteers and spectators that support the event each year, allowing the event to take place. Without the man power and of course the support from the spectators the event would not be possible. And of course the sponsors and teams that also make the event happen. Futhermore we would like to thank the media for the worldwide coverage, presenting the sport of mountain biking around the world.
